Alright, managed to snag some more minutes today. I feel confident I can get to the next save point within a few minutes.
-This music sounds like it'd be right on an elevator!! XD
-Weird how the room resembles a face somewhat.
-The monsters are really weird, what with their society using puzzles as means of opening doors. Methinks there's a psychological difference between them and humans, who'd just as soon open doors with keys, lol
-HAH! XD "adjust yourself to the sight of them," because - whoa - it's so mind-blowing, right? heheh. Not sure if that's meant to be funny, but I find it hilarious.
-The riddle on the wall is obvious. I take it this is the start of a series of easy puzzles to solve. I could ask for more challenging puzzles, but... well, that would accomplish nothing, since I can't actually contact the developer with such a request. :b
-Creepy combat dummy is creepy.
-Ah, this is where the nonviolence preaching commences. I'll humor Toriel, however, seeing as it's only the right thing to do, and I'm playing as a wee little child, after all. Don't expect me to hold back punches if the situation calls for it, though.
-And my reward is nothing. As expected. 0 Xp, 0 gold, 0 pride. I guess I'd be more concerned if the dummy actually did speak back.
-RANDOM FROG ENCOUNTER! Again, since Toriel's here, and since the frog hasn't attacked yet, I'll give the benefit of the doubt and try being nice and stuff. Time to... uh... talk to the frog? That just seems weird.
-Heheh, okay. Flattered frog that doesn't understand English. Nice. Thanks for scaring the little thing off, Toriel. That frog suuuuure looked like it would just rip me to shreds, lol. Still nothing for my efforts.
-Toriels' so sweet, but - seriously - it's obvious what I need to do. "The western room is the eastern room's blueprint," meaning the safe path is outlined previously. That being said, I do not blame her for walking a child through this. Actually, if I were her, I'd carry the kid across, just because.
-This music is great, but starting to get on my nerves. Won't mute it, though.
-Dang, Toriel. Did something happen and you lose a child in the past or something? She is *SUPER* clingy and protective! I mean, walking to the end of the room? Hardly a dangerous request. Seriously. Lol, as if the kid didn't see her go behind the pillar. That was, what, fifty feet maximum?
-"Please remain here. It's dangerous to explore by yourself." I never played Zelda, but I know a reference when I see one.
-PFFFFFFFT! HAHAAHAAAH! A cell phone? XD Dang, the monsters are WAY more advanced than I thought they'd be. Also, they must have cell towers down here, else the reception would be jack diddly squat.
-I shall now do everything but flirt with Toriel. Also, smart kid. I guess Sam's not from a small village or anything, considering she knows how to dial a cell (yes, I know Sam's a deliberately vague character whose sex we don't know, but I get a female impression, so I'll just call her such; my playthrough, my story).
-Aww, yay. That was nice. And pointless. Saying hello is pointless. I should've known. Well, yeah. Okay then.
-Let's tell her about ourselves...
-Oh, I guess it's the other way: SHE tells us about HER, only not. Because she's hiding something. I just know it. She's *SO* hiding something! "Silly little lady" my rear end!
-I'll call her "Mom," but now I notice the previous option vanished, yet the "Hello" option hasn't. I shall try "Hello" again and see if it does something different this time around. But only after calling her Mom.
-OH MY GOSH, Toriel - you are *DEFINITELY* mourning a lost child! Holy cow, it is not even subtle! Wow, dang.
-Saying hello again...
-I *COULD* say hello again, but I don't wanna be annoying. So I won't. Yet. Not 'till later. She should know better than to trust a kid so young with a cell phone.
-Leaving the room now (I *WOULD* stay and be obedient in real life, but I think the game is gonna force me to progress the plot that way)
-Ooh, yay! Another save point! And a frog (which I will avoid). Okay, well, looks like this entry's coming to a timely end.
-Shucks, I really want to obey Toriel, but I just know the game will force me not to. That's all there is to it. So, I'll hit that save and call it good for now.
-I don't know what kind of kid Sam is, but crinkling leaves never made me feel determined. It made me feel absolutely nothing. But -hey - to each their own.
