Hey hey hey! I am feeling very pumped right now! My favorite NFL team (and the only team whose games I care about, really) just won their first playoff game since '94. Let me put that in perspective: I haven't seen them do that in my lifetime, and I just got to witness the Kansas City Chiefs hands-down win 30-0 against Houston.
Yeah, a side of me you didn't think you'd ever see. I know. And I'm not just shoving football in your face - there's a reason behind me sharing this.
See, I'm pumped. The Chiefs are, historically, a not-too-good team. They're average at best. But I'm always rooting for them, always. And to see them totally own Houston was really really something special for me (Sorry if you're a Houston fan - I'm not trying to bash your team - I'm just sharing the excitement I felt tonight).
It's odd that such excitement, completely unrelated to IZ:TDM! - could energize me to work even harder at the projects I'm doing, but it does that. So, I guess what I'm trying to say is that motivation can come from unexpected sources. In this case, for me, my favorite team playing such a wonderful game.
